Maitreya Statue, Emei Lake Live Cam

This pan-tilt camera looks across Emei Lake in Hsinchu County, Taiwan, toward a golden Maitreya statue on a stone gateway. A temple hall with a gray tiled roof stands to its left, and a road bridge crosses the water below it.

Emei Lake, also known as Dapu Reservoir, lies in Emei Township and was built in 1956. A footpath follows parts of its shore, and a wooden boardwalk runs along the water beside the wooded peninsula that carries the statue. Ridges of the surrounding hills close the horizon in the distance.

The view changes during the day. The camera moves between wide shots of the lake and the mountain ridges, the gateway with the statue, and closer views of shoreline trees. The front of the gateway is sunlit in the afternoon and stands against the light in the morning, and small passenger boats can pass under the bridge.
