Garden Lily Pond, Ruda Śląska Live Cam

A low camera at the edge of a garden pond in Ruda Śląska looks across water lily pads, with orange and white fish swimming beneath them. Rounded stones line the far bank, and behind them a low stone wall, ornamental grasses and shrubs close off the view.

Ruda Śląska is a city of about 135,000 people in southern Poland, just west of Katowice. It belongs to the Metropolis GZM, the union of Upper Silesian cities with some two million residents, and lies in the Silesian Highlands on the Kłodnica, a tributary of the Oder. The pond is part of a private garden, so its exact address is not published.

Because the lens sits just above the waterline, the lily pads fill the foreground and the fish often pass close to the camera. On calm, sunny days the trees and the sky are mirrored in the open water between the leaves.
