Meander Ski Park, Oravice Live Cam

A camera on the ski slope in Oravice, northern Slovakia, looks down the Meander Express chairlift toward the thermal resort and Osobitá. Chairs hang from the cables crossing the frame, and the water park and a four-storey hotel stand at the foot of the slope.

Oravice is part of the town of Tvrdošín and lies in a valley at the northern foot of the Western Tatras. It has been a holiday resort since 1970 and is popular with visitors from nearby Poland. Water for the resort's pools comes from a geothermal well 1,611 metres deep, and marked trails lead from the village into Tatra National Park.

The camera faces south-southwest, with the lower lift station on the right and a road running up the valley past chalets. Osobitá, 1,687 metres high, dominates the skyline, and the higher main ridge of the Western Tatras shows on the far left.
