Live Fish Webcams
What fish webcams show
Fish webcams show fish wherever they can be filmed: coral reefs, aquarium tanks, koi ponds, fish ladders, hatcheries and trout farms. The category brings together underwater views from the sea and cameras above clear ponds and tanks.
Fish are among the most hypnotic subjects to watch. A school turning in unison, a ray gliding over the sand, koi crowding the surface when food is thrown — such streams are often left running as calm background video. Hatcheries and fish ladders have a seasonal show of their own, when salmon or trout move upstream to spawn.
Light decides what can be seen. Reef cameras are clearest at midday with the sun high, and murky water after a storm can blur the view for days. Many aquarium tanks dim at night, while ponds go completely dark. In winter outdoor ponds may freeze over, and their fish rest near the bottom.
