Utila Reef, Back of Dock Live Cam

This underwater camera hangs beneath a dock on the south shore of Utila, Honduras, looking at a coral head in about 10 feet (3 m) of water. Broad sea fans wrap around the tall coral head, and a small patch of white sand opens in front of it.

The dock reaches about 165 feet (50 m) out from the beach over shallow reef, and this camera watches the water beside and under it. Plate corals and soft gorgonians crowd both edges of the frame, so the coral head sits in a natural opening of clear blue water.

The view stays on this single coral head rather than switching between views like the camera at the front of the dock. In daylight frames a black-and-white banded butterflyfish and other small reef fish hover over the coral.
