Surfplas, Tilburg Live Cam

This view looks across the Surfplas, a windsurfing lake on the southern edge of Tilburg, to the white lakeside houses of Boschkens in Goirle. A grassy bank with a flagpole runs along the water in the foreground, and a wooded bank curves away on the right.

The lake lies between the A58 motorway and Goirle, on the boundary between the two municipalities. Business parks of Tilburg line its western and northern banks. The eastern shore belongs to Boschkens, a newer district of Goirle with rows of modern houses facing the water.

The camera stands beside the clubhouse of a local windsurfing club at the south-western corner of the lake and faces east-north-east across open water. In the morning the sun rises over the trees on the right. The flag and the ripples on the water show at a glance how strong the wind is.
