Club Zand Beach Live Cam

Club Zand stands on the sand at Castricum aan Zee, on the North Sea coast of North Holland north of Amsterdam. The camera looks along the beach from the deck.

Behind the dune is one of the largest dune reserves in the country, and it is not only a nature area: river water is pumped into these sands, filtered through them and drawn out again as drinking water for much of the province.

Most pavilions on this coast are seasonal by permit and come down at the end of the summer, so the beach is bare from autumn to spring. The wind comes off the sea more days than not, which is why the kite and surf schools are here.
