Bergen aan Zee Beach Live Cam

An elevated camera above the main beach entrance of Bergen aan Zee looks out over the wide sandy North Sea beach and the marram-covered dunes. Beach pavilions stand on the sand below the access path, and the surf runs along the coast in both directions.

Bergen aan Zee is a small seaside village in the municipality of Bergen, North Holland, about 9 km west of Alkmaar. It was founded in 1906, and from 1909 to 1955 it was the terminus of a tram line from Alkmaar. Its beach draws walkers, surfers and catamaran sailors.

The camera switches between several views: across the dunes to the sea, along the beach past the pavilions, and over the lamp-lined seafront road with parked cars and flags. In clear weather offshore wind turbines appear on the horizon.
