Weather and time
This camera looks down the Kurosawa River at Osogi in Ome, where a narrow stream runs between a tall concrete wall and a grassy bank. A small stepped drop and a few boulders break the water, and a road with a white guardrail follows the wall on the right.
Osogi is a district in the north of Ome, and the Kurosawa is a tributary of the Naruki River. Ome Municipal No. 6 Junior High School stands close to this stretch, and Ome Municipal No. 7 Elementary School and Osogi Post Office are within about 100 m. The river is only a few metres wide here.
A painted gauge scale on the concrete wall lets the water level be read against fixed marks. On the left, a chain-link fence and a utility pole rise from the grass, and the road curves away into the distance.
