Weather and time
This camera looks at the outlet gate of the flood control basin on the Kasumi River at Imai in Ome, western Tokyo. Two dark steel gates sit in a white-painted concrete housing above a bed of rounded stones.
The station is in Imai 2-chome, about 100 m east of the basin's upstream camera. Water stored in the basin, which holds up to 88,000 cubic metres, returns to the river through this gate. Imai Library lies about 250 m away, and Imai Inari Shrine is roughly 300 m off. The Kasumi River rises at Kasumi Pond in Ome and flows east to the Iruma River in Sayama.
The gate housing, with its cable conduits and gate machinery, stands in the middle of the frame, and a fenced road runs along the top. Stone-paved slopes and grass banks lead down to the small stream, and a mesh-fronted wall with a gauge board runs off to the right.
