Kasumi River at Gotanda Bridge, Ome Live Cam

This camera watches the Kasumi River at Gotanda Bridge in Kinoshita, Ome, Tokyo, where a grass-filled channel curves between concrete walls. Paved paths with black railings run along both banks above the walls, with rows of houses in the distance.

The station stands in Kinoshita, a residential district in the northern part of Ome, in western Tokyo. Kinoshita Chuo Children's Playground is about 200 m to the north, Kinoshita Shrine roughly 450 m in the same direction, and Hoonji Temple about 450 m to the south. From here the Kasumi River keeps flowing east, leaves Tokyo and joins the Iruma River.

Reeds and tall grass cover the floor of the channel, and only a thin thread of water winds through them. The channel is far wider than the trickle in it, leaving room between the walls for floodwater.
