iZoo Giant Tortoise Ranch Outdoor, Kawazu Live Cam

This camera overlooks the outdoor giant tortoise yard at iZoo, a reptile and amphibian zoo in Kawazu, Shizuoka Prefecture. A sandy enclosure with a rock pile, palm trunks and a low wall is seen from above, with a few tortoises on some days.

The zoo lies in the Hama district of Kawazu, on the Izu Peninsula coast south of Tokyo. Its own site calls it Japan's largest zoo for reptiles and amphibians, built around hands-on contact with the animals. The same ranch has a second camera inside the covered part.

The camera is fixed and shows the whole yard, with a walkway and railing along the far edge. The ground changes from day to day, with orange puddles and mud after wet weather. The yard is often empty of animals, so the frame may show only sand, rocks and puddles, while tortoises cross it at other times.
