iZoo Giant Tortoise Ranch Indoor, Kawazu Live Cam

This camera looks into the indoor giant tortoise ranch at iZoo, a reptile and amphibian zoo in Kawazu, Shizuoka Prefecture. Many large tortoises of different sizes crowd a concrete floor around a metal pillar and green posts.

iZoo stands in the Hama district of Kawazu, a town on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula. The zoo describes itself as the largest reptile and amphibian zoo in Japan and as a place where visitors can get close to the animals. Its giant tortoise ranch is shown by two cameras, one indoors and one outdoors.

The shells range from small young animals to very large old ones, and the floor is often wet and shiny. Unlike the outdoor yard, which is often empty, this covered space usually holds many tortoises.
