Iruma River Diversion Channel, Chofu Live Cam

This camera looks down the Iruma River diversion channel in Higashi-Tsutsujigaoka, Chofu, where a thin stream runs between walls of grey blocks. A large gauge board with red stripes stands against the concrete wall at the right.

The station is in Higashi-Tsutsujigaoka 2-chome, a residential part of Chofu. Tsutsujigaoka Station is about 360 m to the west, and the Koshu Kaido, the main road, runs about 280 m to the north. Saneatsu Park lies about 230 m to the east, and the Mushanokoji Saneatsu Memorial Museum, devoted to the writer, stands about 260 m to the south-east.

The camera is mounted above the channel and looks along it as it bends away, so the sloping block walls close in from both sides. A flat concrete strip runs beside the stream, and steel grating panels fill the lower right corner beside the gauge board.
