Nogawa River at Osawa Bridge, Mitaka Live Cam

This camera looks along the Nogawa River at Osawa Bridge in Mitaka, where a narrow, clear stream runs between grassy slopes. A black railing and a worn dirt footpath follow the near bank, while the far slope is edged with low stepped timber and concrete.

Osawa Bridge carries Tenmondai-dori, the road that leads north to the Mitaka campus of the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, about 600 m away. The campus of Meiji High School stands roughly 250 m to the south. The Nogawa itself rises in Kokubunji and runs about 20 km to the Tama River at Futakotamagawa.

The view is taken from the near bank, so the footpath and a few stepping stones fill the lower left of the frame. The stream bends away toward the upper left between green, unpaved banks.
