Weather and time
This camera watches the Kanda River at Tsukuda Bridge in Suginami, Tokyo, where a long concrete wall rises from a narrow channel. A slim gauge staff is fixed to the wall left of centre, and a white railing runs across the foreground.
The station is in Takaido-higashi 2-chome, Suginami, beside the Kanda River riverside promenade. Takaido Station on the Keio Inokashira Line is a short walk away, and Kampachi-dori passes about 90 m from the camera. The Takaido Area Citizens' Center stands within about 80 m. The Kanda River starts at Inokashira Pond in Kichijoji and flows east toward the Sumida River.
Seen from the railing on the near bank, the wall dominates the frame, with pale vertical streaks along its face. A second white fence runs along the top of the wall.
