Kanda River at Kanda Intake, Suginami Live Cam

This camera faces the Kanda River intake in Izumi, Suginami, where steel screens sit between concrete piers above red gate panels. Two gauge scales stand on the stone-faced wall at the right, one with red and white stripes and one slim staff.

The intake stands in the Izumi 4-chome district, with Kannana-dori Avenue passing over the river about 80 m away. It is the point where high river water can be taken into an underground regulating reservoir beneath Kannana-dori. Senan Green Space and Honan Daiichi Bridge are within about 80 m, Honan Elementary School about 130 m, and Honancho Station on the Marunouchi Line roughly 400 m away.

The calm water in front of the gates mirrors the red panels and the piers. A metal ladder climbs the wall beside the red gauge, and a railing runs along the top of the embankment.
