Weather and time
This camera looks across the Kanda River at Takasago Bridge in Honcho, Nakano, toward a long concrete wall covered with painted level marks. Gauge scales, two metal ladders and a checkered red and white pole are fixed to the wall, with a wide sloped apron below.
The station is in the Honcho 5-chome district, only about 100 m from Nakano-Fujimicho Station on the Marunouchi Line. Nakano-dori crosses the river about 120 m away, and Tokyo Metropolitan Fuji High School and Junior High School stand roughly 250 m away. From here the Kanda River flows on east toward Shinjuku.
The painted marks on the wall are the main feature of this angle, with a yellow scale, a white band and a dotted white line at different heights. Water shows only along the bottom edge of the frame.
