This live camera looks over the JR rail tracks at Shinjuku Station (新宿駅, Shinjuku-eki) in Shinjuku City, Tokyo, the capital of Japan, showing the frequent train movements at this busy station.

On the right side of the image you can see part of a narrow road in the Omoide Yokocho historic district, which connects to a network of pathways. Omoide Yokocho grew into a large black market in the late 1940s after World War II. Today it is a tourist attraction in Shinjuku City, with its lanes lined by small restaurants and food stalls popular with locals and visitors.
