Saint-Valery-en-Caux Beach Live Cam

This view looks along the shingle beach of Saint-Valery-en-Caux from a raised position above the seafront promenade. A long stone jetty with a white lighthouse reaches out to sea beside a wooded chalk cliff at the far end of the bay.

Saint-Valery-en-Caux is a small seaside town and port on the Alabaster Coast of Normandy, set in a gap between white cliffs. Its beach is made of grey pebbles rather than sand, and low stone groynes run down from the promenade wall into the water. The jetty and lighthouse in the distance mark the entrance of the town's harbour.

The camera does not move. The promenade wall and a flight of steps fill the left of the frame, the waterline curves across the middle and the sea runs out to a clear horizon. Frames from the same day show how the beach width and the surf change with the tide and wind.
