Weather and time
This camera looks over the formal French garden of the Château d'Eu, in the town of Eu in northern Normandy. Clipped yew cones, lawn parterres and a round fountain stand in front of the wooded park.
Eu lies in Seine-Maritime, a few kilometres from the Channel coast at Le Tréport. The château was the summer residence of King Louis-Philippe from 1830 to 1848, and he received Queen Victoria here in 1843 and 1845. Since 1973 it has housed the town hall and the Louis-Philippe museum. The park around it covers about 117 hectares.
The camera looks down from a height beside a brick and stone wing with dormer windows at the left of the frame. A lane with parked cars runs along the foot of the trees, and gravel paths join the lawns around the fountain. The frame is the same at different hours, and the colours of the park trees show the season.
