Criel-sur-Mer beach Live Cam

The shingle beach at Criel-sur-Mer runs across this webcam view, on the Normandy coast of northern France. Coloured beach huts line the promenade on the right, and chalk cliffs close the shore in the distance.

This is the alabaster coast, where the chalk plateau is cut off by the sea in white walls a hundred metres high and valleys reach the shore at intervals. Criel sits in one of them, at the mouth of the Yères; Le Tréport and Mers-les-Bains are a few kilometres northeast.

The tide here moves a long way and covers the shingle almost completely at its highest. The huts are opened for the season and shuttered again in September.
