La Chalp, Saint-Véran Live Cam

This camera overlooks La Chalp, a mountain hamlet of Saint-Véran in the Hautes-Alpes, within the Queyras Regional Natural Park. A wooden footbridge crosses a stream into a green meadow, with larch and pine slopes rising behind it.

La Chalp is one of the hamlets of the commune of Saint-Véran, a short distance from the village centre, and sits at roughly 1,780 metres. The valley around it is used for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter and for hiking in summer. The main village of Saint-Véran lies higher up the slope at about 2,040 metres and has its own camera.

The frame looks across the stream and the meadow to the forested ridge opposite, with a small timber shelter and an information board at the edge of the meadow. The road with a few parked vehicles runs along the right side toward the buildings of the hamlet.
