Beginners Area, Montclar Live Cam

This camera overlooks the beginners' area of Montclar les 2 Vallées, a ski resort in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. The frame shows a gentle open slope below a pine forest, two tall white masts on the slope and an apartment block at the top left.

Montclar is a mountain station at about 1,350 metres in the Southern Alps, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. According to the tourist office, the learning zone covers more than 5,000 square metres. It is equipped with two magic carpets, a rope tow and a reception chalet. The ski school also runs a snow garden here for children from three years old.

The camera does not move and always looks across the same slope. In the foreground are a corrugated roof, blue barrels and a wooden platform, and the slope rises gently behind them towards the treeline.
