Weather and time
Masaryk Square in Boskovice is seen from high above its upper end, looking along the long cobbled square to the Church of St James. Rows of colourful town houses with red tiled roofs line both sides, with parking, trees and flower beds in the middle.
Boskovice is a town of about 12,000 people in the South Moravian Region, roughly 33 kilometres north of Brno. Masaryk Square is the centre of its historic core. The town hall at its upper end took its late Renaissance form in 1567, while the Church of St James the Great at the far end was first recorded in 1346.
The wide-angle lens covers almost the whole square, from the paving directly below to the church facade and tower. Beyond the rooftops, the view opens over newer parts of town to wooded hills on the left and fields on the right.
