Westward Beach, Malibu Live Cam

The camera looks along Westward Beach in Malibu, where a wide sandy beach meets the surf below the bluffs of Point Dume. Cars park beside the sand along the shore road, and a ridge of the Santa Monica Mountains with houses on its slopes closes the view in the distance.

Westward Beach lies on the western side of Point Dume, a rocky headland on the Malibu coast, and runs northwest toward Zuma Beach. Westward Beach Road follows the back of the beach at the foot of the bluffs, with parking spaces right beside the sand. Utility poles and low shrubs line the road.

The camera turns through the day: out over the open sea with a utility pole close to the lens, west along the beach toward the distant mountains, and east toward the foot of the bluff, where rocks protect the edge of the road. At night the picture turns black and white.
