This harbor camera in King Harbor, Redondo Beach, looks south over floating docks toward the main channel. A curved rock breakwater crosses the horizon, with the Palos Verdes hills rising behind it.

King Harbor is the man-made harbor of Redondo Beach, a coastal city in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County, California. It holds marinas, yacht clubs and a waterfront district beside the pier. The harbor patrol works from Mole B next to Moonstone Park, and the camera is mounted at its building.

The camera is fixed. White pilings and the edge of a shingled roof fill the foreground, while boats cross the open water in the middle of the frame. Palm trees and a stone shoreline stand at the left, and the afternoon sun scatters bright glints across the water on the right.
