Weather and time
This camera looks from the Sun Bowl base area on the eastern side of Stratton Mountain in Vermont toward a chairlift terminal and the slope. A lawn runs across the foreground, and a line of lift towers climbs a cleared trail between hardwoods and tall spruce.
The Sun Bowl was developed for the 1968–69 season, when the ski area added a new base area here together with a double chairlift and about eight kilometres of trails. It lies roughly 2.3 kilometres southeast of the main base village, in the town of Stratton, Windham County, and has its own base lodge.
The camera is fixed, and frames from different hours show the same scene: the lift terminal on the left, a tall spruce in the middle and the trail rising toward the ridge on the right. Unlike the views around the main base, it shows the mountain from its eastern flank.
