Strasburg Rail Road was chartered in 1832 and calls itself America's oldest short line. Today its steam excursions run from this station through Lancaster County farmland to Leaman Place Junction, where the line meets Amtrak and Norfolk Southern. The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania is a short walk away on Gap Road.
