Weather and time
This rooftop camera in Wilmington, Delaware, looks past a stone parapet corner toward leafy residential streets and a brick mid-rise building. A green cable and a slim pole climb the corner, and a dark roof membrane fills the lower left of the picture.
Outdoor cameras like this one help watchers find the falcons on nearby roofs when the birds are away from the nest box on the 19th floor of the Brandywine Building. Parapets and roof edges give peregrines open perches high above the streets, where they can watch for the birds they hunt.
Compared with the north roof view and its distant river, this angle is closer and more enclosed: the parapet corner sits in front, with rooftops, treetops and a church tower behind it. A falcon landing on the coping here would be seen at short range.
