Weather and time

This camera looks across the Patapsco River at the site of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland. A concrete A-frame pier, floating cranes and work barges fill the middle of the frame.

The bridge carried the Baltimore Beltway over the Patapsco River channel until a container ship struck one of its supports on March 26, 2024, and the main span fell into the water. Since then the wreckage has been cleared and crews on barges and floating cranes have been working at the site, while ships keep using the channel to reach the terminals of the Port of Baltimore.

The framing is tight and stays on the same stretch of shore. Blue gantry cranes of the port terminals and a tall power pylon stand behind the site, a long pier runs along the right side, and vessels pass through the water in front.
