Bridge over Das Garcas River, Brazil Live Cam

Avenida Ministro João Alberto runs down towards the bridge over the Rio das Garças at Barra do Garças, in eastern Mato Grosso. The webcam looks along the traffic from above the shopfronts.

Three towns meet at this confluence. Barra do Garças and Pontal do Araguaia are in Mato Grosso, Aragarças is across the water in Goiás, and the two rivers form the state line between them.

The ridge on the horizon is the Serra do Roncador, which runs north towards the Xingu. In the dry season from June the Araguaia drops and uncovers sandbanks that fill with camps and boats until the rains return in October.
