Nanwan Beach, Kenting Live Cam

A fixed view of Nanwan Beach and its bay in Kenting, Hengchun, at the southern tip of Taiwan's Pingtung County. The camera looks down from a building above the shore road across turquoise water to the long curve of sand.

Nanwan, or South Bay, is one of Kenting's best-known swimming beaches, with fine sand and a gently sloping seabed. The road in the foreground is Provincial Highway 26, which follows the shore here as Nanwan Road. Surfing, sailing, banana boats and jet skis are among the water activities offered in the bay.

Offshore, lines of small coloured floats mark the water-sports zone, and white surf breaks along the rocky shore below the road. Across the bay, a power plant with two domed buildings and a few wind turbines stand on the low far shore, while a green hill rises above the village at the right.
