Selati Bridge, Skukuza Live Cam

This camera shows the Selati railway bridge over the Sabie River at Skukuza, with stone piers and steel truss spans rising above the reeds. Train carriages of the Kruger Shalati hotel stand along the deck.

The bridge belongs to the old Selati railway line and crosses the Sabie River beside Skukuza Rest Camp in Kruger National Park, Mpumalanga. It is no longer used by trains and now carries the Kruger Shalati hotel, with 24 train carriage suites on the bridge and 7 Bridge House suites in a garden beside it. The hotel is named after Shalati, a warrior queen of the Tsonga people.

The camera looks at the bridge from the river bank through a screen of bushes, with a sandbank and a shallow stretch of the river in the middle distance. The framing stays the same through the day, so only light, water and the river bank change.
