Ostrov Summer Pool, Trenčín Live Cam

The summer swimming complex on Ostrov in Trenčín has water slides and several outdoor pools, with Trenčín Castle on the skyline beyond. Paved terraces and lawns surround the pools, and tall trees line the far side of the complex.

Ostrov is a recreation area by the Váh just north of the centre of Trenčín, with a beach, tennis courts and minigolf. The town built the swimming complex there after the old pool had to be demolished to make room for the modernised railway line. It opened in June 2017 with four pools covering 2,885 square metres and water slides.

The camera looks south across the complex, so the castle rock rises in the middle of the frame above the trees. The picture is deliberately softened for privacy reasons: bathers stay unrecognisable, while the pools, slides and castle are easy to make out.
