Live Cams in Trenčín

Trenčín, Slovakia

Trenčín is a city in western Slovakia on the Váh river and the seat of the Trenčín Region, with about 54,000 residents. Above the old town rises Trenčín Castle, which from 1302 to 1321 was the seat of the magnate Matthew Csák, ruler of much of present-day Slovakia. A Roman inscription carved into the castle rock in AD 179, during the Marcomannic Wars, names the place Laugaricio. Together with Oulu in Finland, Trenčín was chosen as a European Capital of Culture for 2026.
