Dziwnów Beach, Poland Live Cam

Dziwnów lies at the mouth of the Dziwna, one of the three channels that drain the Szczecin Lagoon into the Baltic. The camera turns along the beach and the dune belt east of the harbour.

The channel separates the island of Wolin from the mainland, and the town sits on both banks of it with a lift bridge between them. Fishing boats and a lifeboat station work out of the same water.

The windbreaks in the picture are standard equipment on this coast: the beaches face north and the wind comes off the sea most of the summer. The groynes stepping out into the water are there to stop the sand travelling along the shore.
