Paal 20 Beach, De Koog Live Cam

This fixed camera on a wooden beach terrace at Paal 20 overlooks the wide sand beach of De Koog on Texel. A glass windbreak separates the deck from the sand, and the North Sea fills the horizon.

De Koog is Texel's main seaside village, on the island's west coast facing the open North Sea. Numbered beach posts, called paal, serve as local landmarks along the shore, and Paal 20 lies about two and a half kilometres north of Paal 17.

The wide-angle lens gives the horizon a slight curve, and the terrace of the Dikke Zeehond beach pavilion fills the lower half of the frame, with a flag pole at the left edge. The view stays fixed, unlike the nearby Paal 17 camera, which changes its direction.
