Paal 17 Beach, De Koog Live Cam

A camera at Paal 17 on the beach of De Koog, Texel, turns between views of the North Sea and the sandy shore. One view runs along the sand toward a stone groyne, another shows a beach terrace, and a third looks down onto a glass-roofed deck and windbreak.

Paal 17 is one of the numbered beach posts along Texel's west-facing shore, reached from Ruijslaan in De Koog and about two and a half kilometres south of Paal 20. The beach here is wide and open to the North Sea, with dunes rising behind it.

Because the direction changes during the day, the picture depends on the moment, from a long stretch of surf and open sea to close shots of the terrace. The neighbouring camera at Club 17 is a separate stream that looks from a deck toward the Paal 17 building.
