Dune Panorama, De Koog Live Cam

An elevated camera in the dunes of De Koog on Texel looks west over a road, a car park and a path to the North Sea. The view changes between a closer frame of a large pitched-roof building by the road and a wide frame with two buildings on the dune crest above the sea.

De Koog is a popular resort village in the province of North Holland, and a path leads from it through the dunes to the beach. The camera stands on a dune by the Juliana apartment complex on Badweg, which tourist listings place on one of the island's highest dunes.

Campervans and caravans sit among the dune hollows, and cars fill the car park below, so the picture shows how busy the beach access is as well as the state of the sea. Unlike the beach cameras at Paal 17 and Paal 20, it shows the approach to the shore rather than the sand itself.
