Lentorre Lodge Waterhole, Olkirimatian Live Cam

This camera watches a waterhole near Lentorre Lodge in the Olkirimatian Conservancy in the South Rift Valley of Kenya. The view is taken from the ground level across a pond, with acacias along the far bank and a large tree on the right.

The lodge lies on the lower slopes of the Nguruman escarpment, next to the Shompole conservation area and not far from the soda lakes Magadi and Natron. The conservancy is Maasai community land in Kajiado County. The surroundings are dry thorn bush with red soil, and the pond is a source of water in this part of the Rift Valley.

The camera is fixed beside a hide at the water and keeps the same low view. The foreground is bare red earth and the pond surface, which reflects the sky and the branches of the big tree.
