Sumida River at Odai, Arakawa Live Cam

This camera looks straight across the broad Sumida River in Arakawa, Tokyo, toward an industrial plant on the far bank. A green conveyor tower, a tall chimney and a grey storage building rise behind a long concrete flood wall.

The station is in the Machiya 6-chome district of Arakawa Ward. Machiya 6-chome North Children's Park lies about 150 m inland, Hara Junior High School is roughly 250 m away, and Machiya Library stands about 350 m from the camera. The Sumida River branches from the Arakawa River in the north of the city and runs on to Tokyo Bay.

The frame is taken square on to the water, so the river fills the lower half and the far bank forms a level band across the middle. An elevated expressway runs along the skyline above the plant, and a dark low building stands at the right edge, with a reed fringe along the foot of the wall.
