Naka River at Aoto Bridge, Katsushika Live Cam

This camera looks across the wide Naka River at the green steel Aoto Bridge in Aoto, Katsushika, in eastern Tokyo. The road bridge rests on a thick concrete pier standing in the water, and a railed riverside promenade runs along the lower right of the frame.

The station is in Aoto 2-chome in Katsushika. Keisei Aoto Station is about 300 m to the south-west, and Tsusui Kinen Park lies about 250 m to the east. The Naka River flows south through Saitama Prefecture and Tokyo, and here in Katsushika it is a broad lowland river.

Unlike the small streams of western Tokyo, this view shows open water from bank to bank, with the pier, the bridge girders and the far-bank embankment wall stretched across the middle of the frame. A small motorboat can be seen crossing the channel in some frames, and sunlight glitters on the surface on bright days.
