The shop sells boxed meals around the clock at low prices, which is a recognisable Tokyo institution: rice, a fried main and vegetables in one compartmented tray. The overlay counts visitors and the month's takings, updated live.

Trade comes in waves — before work, at lunch, and again late at night. Stock on the counter visibly empties and is refilled through the day.
