Father Duffy Square, New York Live Cam

Father Duffy Square is the northern triangle of Times Square in Manhattan, New York, and it lies below this view. The red TKTS steps rise above the ticket booth in the middle of the frame, with Broadway and Seventh Avenue running past on either side.

The triangle lies between 46th and 47th Streets and holds statues of Francis P. Duffy and George M. Cohan, with the theatre district immediately to the west. Screens cover the fronts of the buildings around it, and their light is strong enough to read by at street level.

The camera pans across the junction rather than holding one angle. Rain makes the picture: the asphalt takes the colour of the screens and the crossings show up as bright lines.
