9/11 Memorial & Museum, NY Live Cam

The north pool of the 9/11 Memorial lies below this webcam, at the World Trade Center site in New York. Water falls down all four sides of the square void, and the trees of the plaza stand around it.

The two pools sit exactly on the footprints of the towers, and the names of nearly three thousand people killed in the 2001 and 1993 attacks are cut into the bronze parapets around them. The museum itself is underground, between and beneath the pools.

The plaza is open daily and the water runs continuously, so the frame changes mainly with the light and the season. On the anniversary the site is closed for the reading of the names, and two beams of light are projected from nearby into the sky.
