Motoyawata Station North Exit Taxi Stand, Ichikawa Live Cam

This view looks down on the taxi stand at the north exit of Motoyawata Station in Ichikawa, Chiba Prefecture. Painted pick-up bays cover a wide paved lot where taxis wait during the day.

Ichikawa lies in western Chiba Prefecture, just across the Edogawa River from Tokyo. North of the JR Sobu Line tracks, the station area meets National Route 14, the old Chiba Kaido, under which the Toei Shinjuku Line ends at its own Motoyawata Station. Keisei Yawata Station on the Keisei Main Line is a short walk away.

The camera is mounted above the lot and looks over it from one corner, with a pedestrian street lined with shop awnings along the left side. A roofed shelter, a street lamp and parked scooters, some marked as police, stand at the edge of the pavement. Only the stand itself is in frame, while the station building and the tracks are out of view.
