Kannon-numa Pond, Shimogo Live Cam

This camera overlooks Kannon-numa Forest Park in Shimogo, Fukushima, where a reedy pond lies among wooded hills below mountain ridges. In autumn the maples around the water turn red and orange, and the marsh grass fades to gold.

Kannon-numa Forest Park sits in the hills of southern Shimogo, a town in the Minamiaizu district of Fukushima Prefecture. The park is laid out around the pond, with walking paths through the surrounding forest. It is a popular place to see autumn foliage in the Aizu region, and in winter the area is covered with snow.

The camera turns between several views. Besides the pond and the marsh around it, it shows the hillsides with peaks rising behind them, the forest canopy close up, and the access road with the park car park below the trees.
