Ijika Port, Toba Live Cam

This camera looks down from the hillside over the small harbour of Ijika, with its long breakwater and moored boats. Beyond the harbour mouth the sea reaches a distant low coast on the horizon.

Ijika is a fishing village in the city of Toba, Mie Prefecture, at the mouth of Ise Bay. The harbour is a Class 1 fishing port run by the city and is sheltered by an eastern and a northern breakwater.

Small boats lie in the basin and along the quay on the left, while a steep wooded slope and a few houses fill the foreground. The view is fixed and faces the open water, so the colour of the sea and the light on the breakwaters change through the day.
