Weather and time
This view looks upstream along the Jizo River from Yajiri Bridge in central Kasugai, Aichi Prefecture. A straight concrete-lined channel runs ahead and bends away toward another bridge in the distance.
The Jizo River is a Class A river of the Shonai River system. It rises within Kasugai and flows southwest along the southern side of the city center. Within Kasugai it is 9.52 km long, and the upper section is managed by the city while the rest is managed by Aichi Prefecture. The bridge lies in the Tsukimi area, just north of the JR Chuo Main Line.
The camera is mounted at the bridge and faces upstream, so the water comes toward the viewer between a sloping block-lined bank on the left and a brick-paved maintenance strip on the right. A guardrail and a blue arrow road sign line the street beside the channel.
